Public radio piece about REEL Joy

To all our readers, I apologize for the long silence. It has been a busy season for each of us who write here. I thank everyone who has prayed for our neighborhood anyway!

On March 10th our teens premiered the four short films they produced during our REEL Joy project. We rented a local movie theater and filled every seat. A few days later we showed the films again during Church of the Redeemer's worship service. The kids passed out bags of popcorn to congregants and shared ways that God is shaping them into young heroes, just as did with Daniel, Esther and David long ago. The service ended with each of our filmmakers walking down a red carpet to receive their own oscar, with categories such as "most enthusiasm for life and pizza", "greatest expression of emotion through silence," and "best romantic spinning scene."

In the absence of our own team getting anything written, a local radio station did a short piece on the project. You can view the story here for a great description of the impact this project had on all who participated!
